This site is created by Gavin Phillips who cares passionately that the pleasure of using very simple tools and age-old processes to convert fresh green wood or flour  to things we can use - or eat - is more widely known.

Ideally green woodwork,  ideally happens in a woodland, and preferably on a warm, sunny day. But because Gavin and his wife Clare neither live in a forest, nor control Scottish weather or midges, they do their woodwork in the shed - and sometimes the bread baking too. So if you like doing stuff in your own or someone else’s shed, consider yourself a shed-therapist. (There are no exams to pass!)

Interestingly, there is real academic research on shed therapy
